Surfing on google for Atheist/Atheism blogs and I come across a sudden flash of reality: A lot of Atheists out there have been bit in the neck by catholic vampires and are being possessed by their god! It's true.... I read through posts and all I can see is supposed "non-believers" relentlessly arguing on the existence (or non-existence) of the Christian god. I see books about it, I see blog posts about it, people arguing on YouTube about it...
To me, the argument is easy to settle, Atheists dont believe in god and --mindless of what the opposing arguer believes-- should move on to things that can actually be argued and debated upon. Some subjects do have tangible facts and statistics and could eventually lead to more conclusive debates for, we all know (we atheists know) that arguing to any believer that his god does not exist is a pointless waste of time and rarely ever gives way to a positive conclusion for both parties.
Speakin of debate, what the Atheist community needs IMHO is NOT more arguments against Christians and their beliefs for, they are the weaker form of humanity (as Nietzsche would probably have said it) and therefore can easily be cast aside on an individualistic scale. What we need is proper reasoning on subjects more tangible than spaghetti monsters, it's not the non-existant god that scares me, it's the associated zombie-press and vampire blood suckers that come with it. We should put our efforts into minimizing the brainwash, the door to door recruiting, the wasted trees who died to bring printed flyers filled with tripe and gibberish to you hand or doorstep.
I am not a leader in Atheism as the Dawkins of this world, and I may not be as well educated but I did get my greek philosophy basics and followed a bit of Sartre and Nietzsche... Enough to tell me that the arguments against god have been concluded and the subject drained to it's core. If people still believe in god after all that, well, it is they who cannot read and will be stupider for it. But WE, the Atheists, should move on to other aspects and so I ask fellow atheists:
Haven't you got bigger problems than "god" ?
